Virus & Spyware Removal: $63.00
We remove any Spyware & or Viruses. We also will fix or remove Corrupt Software, Registry issues. If you have a software issue this service will get your computer back up and running again.

 



Diagnostic: $50.00
We test all hardware including Motherboard, Hard Drive, Memory, and Video Cards for defects. After running our Diagnostic Tests we can better explain to the customer what hardware seems to be giving the computer trouble and the best way to go about fixing the issue. We also test the computer for software problems such as Spyware, Viruses, Trojan Horses, and Registry Corruption.

 


Diagnostic & Repair: $80.00
We diagnose the issue with you computer by running tests on Hardware & Software. In the event that we find a Software issue such as Spyware, Viruses or Corrupt Software on the computer we fix these issues by removing, fixing them to get your computer back up and running.

 


Software Install: $30.00
Installing any software onto the computer. Examples Antivirus, Antispyware Protection, Computer Data Backup Software, Software Drivers etc.

 


 

Remote Computer Repair or Remote Assistance: is using special software to connect to your computer using the Internet. The Remote Assistance software allows us to see your screen and control the mouse and keyboard to help you in fixing your computer. The connection to your computer is does not happen automatically. It does require your permission to be able to gain access to your computer. Once a Remote Assistance session is over we will not have any way to reconnect to your computer. During the Remote Assistance session you will see everything that our technician does on your computer. When completed, close the Remote Assistance Session and we will be disconnected from your computer. If you need to have us work on your computer again you will need to go through the same process to be reconnected.


Step by Step:

 

  1. Call us for an appointment or email us at services@blackmagiccomputers.com if you decide to email us please give your name, phone number that you can be reached and a description of the issue you are having with your computer.
  2. To connect to us with Remote Assistance you will need to click on the download link: Blackmagic Computers Remote Systems
  3. Download the program and choose “Run”.
  4. You need to give the technician the number you see in the ID field & Password Field. Only after this procedure we can connect to your computer.
  5. The technician now will perform the actions necessary to resolve your issue(s) on your computer.
  6. When the session ended please close the RA window as stated above.

How To Get Started With Remote Assistance:
First you need contact us and let us know that you would need the service. You can do this either by email, or by phone.
We will need a detailed description of your issue in order to determine whether it’s something we can fix using RA, or not.
Price: The cost of the remote assistance is less than having a technician come to your home. It is a good way to save money. Also it saves you the time to disconnect everything and bring it to us to have it repaired. We charge on a flat rate which means you don’t have to worry about having to pay by the hour. It’s one price to fix your software issues.
Note that there are times that your computer may have an issue that cannot be fixed using Remote Assistance. In these cases if you live in the local area we can come to your home or business or you could bring it to us to have the computer diagnosed and repaired. You can also ship the computer to us where we will diagnose the issue then call you with an estimate to fix it. Sometimes it’s more cost effective to ship the computer to us then to drive to us to drop it off then back to us to pick it up.

What you need to be connected:
The following conditions need to be met in order for us to be able to troubleshoot using RA:

  • You need to have high speed internet connection (Cable, DSL, Fiber Optic, etc).
  • You computer needs to run any of the following Windows versions: Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7
  • We may need to have your anti virus and or anti virus software uninstalled before being able to clean up your computer.

What can be done with Remote Assistance:

  • Fixing software related issues such as email settings, installation issues, performance issues.
  • Tuning up your computer, such as removing temporary internet files,
  • Setting up, or performing a backup of your system or personal files, as well as restoring files from such backup. This requires you to have a storage device such as a secondary internal hard drive, or external hard drive.
  • Printing troubleshooting, if it’s not clearly hardware related, i.e.: printer is starting up fine, not displaying any error messages and is not out of ink, or toner.
  • An assessment of the state of the computer to determine whether it’s worth fixing or not and how much the fixing up would cost.

When we can’t connect using Remote Assistance:
     

  • There are times when computer is so heavily infected with viruses and or spy ware that the ability to clean the computer up may not be possible through remote assistance. In these cases the technician will inform the customer that the alternative would be to have us on location to fix the issue to bring the computer to our location or to have it shipped to us.
  • If your computer will not power on at all, Will not connect to the internet these issues would need to be fixed either at your home or business or at or location.
  • There are times when the computers operating system needs to be re-installed. In these cases this would need to be done at the customers home or business or at our location
